We had the pleasure of catering and being a part of an art show organized by one of our corporate clients featuring several local vendors, including Lux Catering and Events! Our inspiration when decorating the event was the fall harvest season, in particular invoking the feelings of warmth and comfort. In order to achieve this, we decorated with natural woods and greenery, autumn squash & pumpkin, rich colors, and bathing candlelight.
Our menu featured many local products and included:
Apple Walnut Mac and Cheese: trottole pasta in a creamy cheese sauce made with Utah’s Beehive Cheese Company’s Apple Walnut Promontory Cheddar, topped with granny smith apples and crushed walnuts.
Thanksgiving Spoonfuls: Roasted local Utah turkey breast on a bed of mashed potatoes and our house-made stuffing served with a creamy turkey gravy and cranberry.
Deconstructed Caramel Apple Cake: Slide Ridge Honey Cake baked into local miniature apples, then dipped in our very own house-made caramel.
Savory Pumpkin Tartlet: a two-bite tart with the flavors of roasted pumpkin and sage topped with Utah’s Shepherd Dairy whipped goat cheese and bacon.
