Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House is a hidden gem in terms of meeting and event spaces in Salt Lake City. Centrally located on the grounds of The University of Utah’s campus, this magnificent modern building features an exquisite, recently renovated ballroom, plus spacious conference and meeting rooms suited for any occasion, corporate or social. The 5,800-square-foot ballroom provides ample space to seat 350+ guests, in addition to numerous meeting rooms and a beautiful outdoor terrace featuring idyllic views of the surrounding mountains. There are few other meeting and event spaces in the East Bench, if any, that offer the flexibility and welcoming atmosphere you will find here, not to mention the convenience of adjacent parking!
OC Tanner Ballroom
The ballroom is the largest space at Alumni House, offering nearly 6,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide a constant stream of daylight (which can also be shielded by handy curtains for presentations) and stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The ballroom can be separated into three sections, each with a beautiful neutral palette that provides the perfect backdrop for any event, social or corporate. With state-of-the-art built-in audiovisual capabilities, it’s an ideal location for corporate events!
Dumke Reception Room
The Dumke Reception Room offers nearly 1,500 square feet, ideal for smaller gatherings of up to 120 guests theater or 80 banquet-style. It’s almost reminiscent of an art gallery-type space, a perfect blank canvas for a bridal shower, corporate lunch and learn or non-profit donor event. The room features stark white walls and beautiful hardwood flooring that’s accented by a built-in fireplace that adds a unique touch of character.
Henriksen Conference Room
Similar in size to the Dumke Reception Room, the Henriksen Conference Room provides the same aesthetic as the OC Tanner Ballroom with gray carpeting, white walls, wood accents and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unparalleled natural light. It also flows into the back patio should you desire an indoor/outdoor venue in Salt Lake City. Perfect for board meetings, small receptions, social shower events and more!
Sorenson Boardroom is one of the flagship spaces in the Alumni House venue. Located adjacent to the second-floor Executive Terrace, the space flows from indoor to outdoor seamlessly, which is perfect for a day-long business retreat, corporate meetings or training events! Should you need more space, the Boyer Conference Room can be added.
Beehive, Boyer & Patel Conference Rooms
The three smaller conference spaces—Beehive, Boyer and Patel Conference Rooms—are all very versatile and perfect for when you’re looking to host multiple breakout sessions or training as a part of a larger conference or small meetings! Each can be set up as you envision for your perfect event.
Outdoor Space - Executive Terrace & Back Patio
One of the unique features of this modern conference and events center is the outdoor space! The Executive Terrace is located on the second floor of the building, connected to the Sorenson Boardroom. You can accommodate up to 120 theater-style or over 70 banquet-style. Or even more for a lovely reception at sunset! The second outdoor space is the sprawling back patio area, which is ideal for a cocktail hour or afternoon break during a meeting. This outdoor space can accommodate up to 120 banquet-style.
