LUX’s Farmers Market Favorites
One of our favorite summer activities is the Salt Lake City Downtown Farmers Market! We’re obsessed with quality food and supporting local businesses. Since 1992, the Downtown Farmers Market has been offering a place for farmers and food purveyors to interact with residents of Salt Lake City and beyond.
The farmers and artisans that attend the Farmers Market offer the freshest local fruits, vegetables, grass-fed meats, eggs, dairy, honey, flora, and more! The Farmers Market runs June 8th through October 19th every Saturday from 8am-2pm at Pioneer Park (350 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 8410) and hosts over 180+ local vendors!
We spent our Saturday morning perusing some of the local vendors and wanted to showcase some of our favorites! While many of these vendors offer storefront and/or online purchasing options, there is nothing quite like spending time with them in the laid-back market atmosphere. We hope you check these vendors, and many others out the next time you’re at the Farmers Market!
Rino’s Italian Fresh
Rino’s Italian Fresh vegetables is a favorite of ours at the market! Rino used to own Rino’s Italian Ristorante in Sugarhouse before focussing solely on his passion of farm fresh produce. His produce is always top-notch and ready for whatever delectable recipe you choose to meld them into.
Amour Spreads is family owned company who produces fresh spreads using Utah-grown fruit, organic cane sugar, and organic lemon juice. Using only those ingredients they let the fruit work their magic! Each year Amour selects three local non-profits to partner with, and donates a portion of each sale to them.
Uncle Bob’s Butter Country specializes in rich and creamy buttermilk syrups. These delectable syrups going great on just about anything, but some of their favorites are pancakes, waffles, crepes, french toast, oatmeal, bread, pudding, fruit, hot chocolate, bacon, sausage, and more! These syrups were created with a creamy texture and a flavor pallet designed to break up the ordinary imitation maple syrup flavors.
Jones Creek Beef is a leading natural, grass-fed beef company that produces free range, grass-fed, grass-finished beef, located in Springville, Utah. Their mission is to provide high quality beef cuts to their clients.
Tankinz Noodle Company
Tankinz Noodle Company is a family owned company that only produces fresh pasta for the farmers market! They have a passion for fresh noodles and have made the decision to only offer these high quality products during the summer at this particular market! We loved spending time chatting with the siblings at this booth and getting to know their passion for freshness!
