It’s National Crepe Day and we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to feature our Dessert Crepe recipe as well as one of our most popular catering options: crepe action station!
Our dessert crepe recipe will make you feel like you are spending a day in Paris – with delicious and rich toppings, they are the perfect cure for a sweet craving. This recipe comes from our A Taste of LeCroissant cookbook, featuring our favorite recipes we’ve accumulated over the years from family, friends and experiments in our kitchen.
National Crepe Day Recipe:
We recently featured our crepe action station at a Great Gatsby themed corporate event! The event featured a casino awarding tickets for a prize drawing, a 5-piece band, dancing, flappers, gangsters, and of course, delicious food.
Winter Salad: mixed greens with golden raisins, diced granny apples, candied pecans and a cranberry vinaigrette. Served along side artisan rolls and butter.
Prime Rib: freshly-carved prime rib served with horseradish
Ham: Applewood smoked ham served with cranberry chutney and mayonnaise
Cream Corn Brulée: corn served in a seasoned cream sauce, topped with brown sugar and torched till golden brown and crunchy
Mashed Potato Bar: buttery mashed potatoes served in martini glasses. Guests get the fun and novelty of customizing their mashed potatoes with sautéed mushrooms, bacon bits, green onions, sour cream, and rich brown gravy
Crepe Flambée Action Station: Chef prepared on site! Choose from banana fosters or cherries jubilee to top your warm, freshly made crepe along side a scoop of vanilla ice cream
We hope you enjoy National Crepe Day – Bon appétit!
